What would a painting sound like if it were music? The Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky tried it out and the result was his famous "Pictures at an Exhibition". On a bustling market, vendors quarrel, a limping gnome sneaks by, chirping chicks hatch from their eggshells and dance a ballet. Together with the orchestra and Malte Arkona, we also encounter the evil witch Baba Yaga, meet children playing in the park, visit an old castle, and walk through the Great Gate of Kiev. Can't imagine it? Then come with your class to the Kulturpalast for the school concert! Grades 5-8 The cover image for this concert was created using AI and may contain deviations from realistic depictions (people, instruments, etc.). We have decided to give the AI more freedom at this point and allow for a creative engagement with the concert title.
