It is the absolute highlight of the "Cellomania" 2026 of the Dresden Music Festival: The "Long Night of the Cello" brings together all cellists of the festival on one evening! And the name of the concert says it all: In diverse ensembles ranging from solo, chamber music to orchestral concert, the audience can expect a whirlwind journey through cello literature, showcasing the instrument in all its facets. Experienced world stars and emerging young talents will once again enchant the audience at the Kulturpalast with playfulness, virtuosity, and passion. For the first time, the musicians will be supported by an orchestra. The NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra will add a new tonal color to this unique musical event. Whether wild, romantic, or exotic - the cello knows no bounds in order to inspire endlessly!
