Festkonzert »30 Jahre Heinrich-Schütz-Konservatorium Dresden«

The Heinrich Schütz Conservatory Dresden (HSKD) invites you to a grand festive concert – the musical highlight of the celebrations marking its 30th anniversary. The concert exemplifies the artistic diversity and stylistic range of the largest music school in Dresden. A special highlight is the world premiere of a composition by Hans-Peter Preu, the principal conductor at the State Theatres of Saxony.
Founded in 1996, the Heinrich Schütz Conservatory Dresden (HSKD) is the largest music school in Dresden, with approximately 8,000 students, nearly 200 teachers, and eight external locations, making it one of the most important cultural educational institutions in the city. In addition to classical instruments, the extensive offerings include areas such as musical early education, singing, jazz/rock/pop, dance, and early music. The heart of the institution is its diverse choral, ensemble, and orchestral work.
